F4BKV Vincent
Amateur Radio Station since 1997
I started amateur radio at the age of 20 years old, by using VHF/UHF and experimenting contacts over meteorscatter and satellites. Then in 2004, I got HF priviledges and started DXing on all available HF bands. Initially in SSB, then in 2006 in Digital, and finally make my first CW QSOs in 2012
I'm focused on DXCC and IOTA awards, but also enjoy chasing grid squares on Digital or 50MHz, as well as chasing US counties or others regional based awards. I also operate any major contests either from my home or some nice contests stations around the world
Another important part of my amateur radio hobby is traveling to organise and participate to dxpeditions. I enjoy both solo travel, or being part of a small group of friends, focusing on getting a full performant station installed in remote isolated places
I also hold Spanish residency with callsign EC3TZ (ED3V in contests), and I'm currently Board Member of the Clipperton DX Club

FT4TA Tromelin Island
2014 - 70 000 QSO - A unique experience of landing by plane to this remote island and get the priviledge to spend 10 days operating from this most wanted place.
FT4JA Juan de Nova Island
2016 - 105 000 QSO - Reaching this island by sailing boat and spend 2 weeks operating from it's pristine beach. Pileups were amazing and a true adventure with a great team
3B7A St Brandon Island
2018 - 71 000 QSO - An idylic place in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Full confort and great welcoming from our Mauritian hosts. Radio wise, it was also perfect using a full SDR technology for the first time
VP6T Pitcairn Island
2012 - 56 000 QSO - Pitcairn by its own is a magical place. Arriving at Bounty bay after 2 days of sailing is a memorable experience. The radio location was probably the best I ever experienced. Pitcairn is worth the visit
